PANforAMaR a new AdriaPAN project for a AII call

The AMP “Torre di of Cerrano”, in regional cooperation (Macro Region Adriatic-Ionian), responded to the Call for Proposal 2012 of AII  (Adriatic Ionian Initiative).
The call, opened on March 19th,  expired on June 18th.
The partners are all members of "AdriaPAN" (subscribers of “Charter of Cerrano), which has the recognition by the AII as a major promoter of the network of protected areas.
The AII has granted the opportunity to use their logo for the network's activities of AdriaPAN.
The project title is PANforAMaR, the acronym that stands for Protected Areas Network for Adriatic Macro Region.
Although the project structure has its own reason for being autonomous, is closely linked to the project "AdriaPAN Secretariat" of MedPAN, which would  integrate with the same goals but with different instruments.
The objectives are to promote eco-tourism or sustainable tourism, through communication tools such as social networks and web sites for '"AdriaPAN Secretariat" and meetings, workshops, courses, seminars for PANforAMaR.
The two projects are thus united by the common purpose of promoting the so-called "greeneconomy" with communication tools that reach a large audience, both through multimedia tools through meetings among the various stakeholders.
So part of the project is PANforAMaR co-funded by the project "AdriaPAN Secretariat", sponsored by MAVA MedPAN (Foundation for Nature), the Foundation Prince Albert of Monaco and FFEM (French funds for the environment).
It was possible to join the two projects because only PANforAMaR will make use of European funds.

L' AMP Torre del Cerrano, nell'ambito della cooperazione regionale (Macro regione Adriatico-Ionica), ha risposto alla Call for Proposal 2012 dello AII  (Adriatic Ionian Initiative).

Il bando, aperto il 19 marzo, è scaduto il 18 giugno.
I partner del progetto sono tutti aderenti di “AdriaPAN” (sottoscrittori della Carta di Cerrano), che ha il riconoscimento da parte dello AII  come il maggiore promotore della rete delle aree protette.
Lo AII ha concesso l'opportunità di usare il proprio logo per le  attività della rete AdriaPAN.
Il titolo del progetto è PANforAMaR, acronimo inglese che sta per rete delle aree protette per le Macro Regione Ionica – Adriatica.
Pur avendo il progetto una sua propria struttura e ragione d'essere autonoma, si lega strettamente al progetto “AdriaPAN Secretariat” del MedPAN, che va a completare ed  integrare  con gli stessi obiettivi ma con strumenti differenti.
Gli obiettivi sono quelli di promuovere l'eco-turismo o turismo sostenibile che dir si voglia attraverso strumenti comunicativi quali i Social Network e i siti web per l'”AdriaPAN Secretariat” e incontri, workshops, corsi, seminari per PANforAMaR.
I due progetti dunque sono uniti dallo scopo comune di promuovere la cosiddetta “greeneconomy” con strumenti comunicativi che possano raggiungere un grande pubblico, sia attraverso strumenti multimediali che attraverso incontri tra i vari portatori d'interesse.
Dunque parte del progetto PANforAMaR è co-finanziato dal progetto “AdriaPAN Secretariat”, sponsorizzato da MedPAN attraverso MAVA (fondazione per la natura), la Fondazione Alberto di Monaco e FFEM (fondi francesi per l'ambiente).
E' stato possibile accorpare i due progetti perchè solo il PANforAMaR si avvarrà di fondi europei.

MedPAN helps AdriaPAN to grow up

The project "AdriaPAN Secretariat" presented by the MPA Torre del Cerrano, within the "2nd Call for Small Grant Projects for Mediterranean MPAs for 2012-2013" promoted by the Mediterranean Protected Area Networks (MedPAN) and sponsored by MAVA Foundation and Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation, has been selected as the winning proposal among 52 competitors.

The project addresses the need for a cross-border and cooperative dialogue tool as means of raising the economical promotion practices of the Adriatic MPAs. The project partners are the MPAs adhering to the Cerrano Charter - the AdriaPAN Network - or being about to adhere to it. The project was promoted by the MPAs of Miramare and Torre del Cerrano with the latter as the lead applicant.
The general purpose is to gain the acquaintance and reliance of local MPA managers in this regional branch of the Mediterranean network, by providing services in favour of their MPAs and the local territory. This will take place by building up a common, web-based communication tool devoted to the broad public which will promote MPAs, the activities of interest and will provide general services. The same web portal will promote contacts among AMP managers and staff - also through a restricted access – in order to produce common projects and proposals in response to funding tools such as EU's instrument for grants on programmes like Interreg, IPA Adriatic, MED, Life+, South East Europe and others.
"AdriaPAN Secretariat" activities have already started according to the project schedule.

Il progetto "AdriaPAN Secretariat" presentato dalla AMP Torre del Cerrano  nell'ambito del programma "2nd Call for Small Grant Projects for Mediterranean MPAs for 2012-2013" è stato selezionato come la proposta vincente tra i 52 candidati partecipanti al bando del MedPAN, la rete delle aree protette mediterranee, finanziato dalle fondazioni MAVA e Carlo Alberto di Monaco.

Il progetto risponde alla necessità di uno strumento di dialogo transfrontaliero e cooperativo che dia impulso alle pratiche di promozione economica delle AMP dell’Adriatico. I partner del progetto sono tutti gli aderenti alla Carta di Cerrano, cioè i membri della rete AdriaPAN . I realizzatori del progetto sono le Aree Marine Protette di Miramare e Torre del Cerrano con quest’ultima a fare da capofila.
Lo scopo generale è quello di incentivare i rapporti e la fiducia tra le AMP locali presenti in questo ramo della rete mediterranea, fornendo servizi in favore delle AMP e del territorio locale. Questo sarà possibile attraverso la costruzione di uno strumento comune di comunicazione, basato sul web e dedicato al grande pubblico, che promuoverà le AMP, le attività di interesse e fornirà servizi generali. Il portale web stesso dovrà favorire i contatti tra i dirigenti e il personale delle AMP -  anche attraverso un accesso regolato - al fine di produrre progetti comuni e proposte in risposta a strumenti di finanziamento europei  su programmi come Interreg, IPA Adriatico, MED, Life +, Sud Est Europa e altri.
Le attività previste dal progetto “AdriaPAN Secretariat” hanno già avuto inizio come da programma.

Workshop 15.07.2012: Developing TEA/Sviluppando TEA

La Riserva Naturale Lecceta di Torino di Sangro (Abruzzo-Italia) che insieme alla SHI (Societas Herpetologica Italica) e l'Oasi WWF “Lago di Serranella”, e la Riserva Naturale Regionale di San Giovanni in Venere (Fossacesia, Abruzzo-Italia), sta elaborando il Progetto TEA (Testudo hermanni ed Emys orbicularis in Adriatico) volto a realizzare una rete nella rete, tra Riserve, Parchi Naturali e Siti Natura 2000 per confrontare le esperienze di gestione ed incrementare la conoscenza sulle due specie. La data del primo workshop operativo è il 15 luglio 2012 mattina presso il Centro Visite della Riserva a Torino di Sangro (Ch). Lecceta of Torino di Sangro Naturale Reserve (Abruzzo-Italy), with IHS (Italian Herpetologica Society), WWF's Oasi “Lake of Serranella” and San Giovanni in Venere Natural Reserve (Fossacesia, Abruzzo – Italy) is going to develop the TEA Project (Testudo hermanni and Emys orbicularis in Adriatic) with the aim of a net in the AdriaPAN net among Reserves, Natural Parks and Natura 2000 sites for sharing experiences and improve the knowlegde on this two species. The proposed date for the first developing workshop is for 15th of July 2012 (morning) in the Visit Center in Torino di Sangro (Chieti-ITA), Lecceta Natural Reserve. Marie Curie Program: "Monitoring of the Mediterranean Marine Protected Areas" (MMMPA)

In the framework of the Marie Curie Program, the project "Monitoring of the Mediterranean Marine Protected Areas" (MMMPA) has been funded for a four years period to train the next generation of MPA scientists and managers, equipping them with a flexible set of skills essential within a wide range of professional environments, including public administration, local authorities, industry and academia. They will focus on the most important aspects that need adequate conservation.
In total, 10 early stage researchers (36-month PhD candidate position) and 4 experienced researchers (postdoctoral 6-month position) will be hired, each one following a definite research project, whose aims will be achieved working at five mediterranean MPAs.

AdriaPAN partner of BIENNALE HABITAT 2012 "Adriatic Sea World Heritage"

La Biennale Habitat 2012 è un evento che promuove la tutela e la valorizzazione dei territori adriatici nell’ambito della nascenda Macroregione Adriatico-Ionica attraverso l’esplorazione del “territorio Adriatico-Jonico” nei diversi aspetti e tematiche, nelle diverse specificità, criticità e potenzialità.
Il progetto mette in rete “la Conoscenza del Sistema Adriatico-Jonico” in un evento reale e dinamico coinvolgendo tutti i livelli dimensionali dei territori adriatico-jonici, dal piano sociale a quello ambientale, dal piano culturale a quello economico, dal piano tecnico a quello scientifico.

The Biennale Habitat 2012 promotes the safeguard and the enhancement of the Adriatic territories within the emerging Adriatic-Ionian Macroregion through the exploration of the “Adriatic-Ionian territory” under the different aspects and themes, the different specificities,
criticalities and potentialities.
This project networks “the knowledge of the Adriatic-Ionian System” in a real event and in an interactive and dynamic web portal involving all dimensional levels of the Adriatic-Ionian territories, from the social to the environmental level, from the cultural to the economical
level, from the technical to the scientific one.

IAI call for proposal

The AII-Regional Cooperation Programme (AII- RCP) has been launched for granting implementation to the AII political priorities in a project-oriented perspective. The Call for Proposal 2012 is specifically aimed at fulfilling these goals by co-financing small/medium scale trans-border projects for cooperation among actors coming from AII participating countries. The deadline to present project proposals is May 18, 2012.

E' stato pubblicato il bando dell'AII-programma di cooperazione regionale (AII-RCP) per la concessione di finanziamenti volti alla attuazione delle priorità politiche IAI in un progetto di prospettiva orientata. L'invito a presentare proposte 2012 è specificamente rivolta a soddisfare questi obiettivi attraverso il co-finanziamento progetti di piccole/medie dimensioni transfrontalieri e di cooperazione tra gli attori provenienti da paesi IAI partecipanti. La scadenza per la presentazione delle proposte progettuali è 18 Maggio 2012.

Da Augusto De Sanctis della "SOA- Stazione Ornitologica Abruzzese ONLUS" riceviamo e pubblichiamo: Continuano gli avvistamenti di individui marcati con anelli colorati. Questa volta è un gabbiano reale mediterraneo osservato da Enrico Viganò (la foto è sua) il 29 dicembre scorso a Martinsicuro (TE). L'individuo è nato a Krk in Croazia ed è stato inanellato lì da nidiaceo in colonia il 28 maggio 2011.Quindi, quando osservate un gruppo di gabbiani, occhio alle zampe, possono portare utili informazioni! Nella cartina i punti di cattura e osservazione. Qualunque osservazione di questo tipo si prega di segnalarla al segretariato AdriaPAN (adriaticprotectedareasnetwork@gmail.com) che provvederà a girarla a chi si occupadi queste ricerche.

This time is a Mediterranean gull observed by Enrico Viganò last December 29th in Abruzzo near Martinsicuro (TE). The individual was born in Krk in Croatia and has been there for nestlings ringed in a colony 2011 May 28. In the map the points of capture and observation. MedPAN General Assembly - Vodice (HVR)

.
Si sono svolti a Vodice in Croazia tra il 28 novembre ed il 2 dicembre i lavori dell'Assemblea Generale del MedPAN, la rete delle aree protette del Mediterraneo, all'interno della quale si muove AdriaPAN come indicato espressamente nella Carta di Cerrano.
Presenti molti membri di AdriaPAN, l'occasione è stata utile per presentare le attività svolte da AdriaPAN fino ad oggi. Durante le giornate di lavoro si è potuto avviare un intenso scambio di informazioni e contatti per le future iniziative progettuali e si è avuta l’opportunità di candidare il Segretariato di AdriaPAN ad uno specifico contributo finanziario messo a disposizione dal MedPAN a valere sui fondi della Fondazione Principe Alberto II di Monaco e Fondazione MAVA per la Natura.

Were held in Vodice in Croatia between November 28 and December 2 the General Assembly MedPAN, the network of protected areas in the Mediterranean, in which moves AdriaPAN as expressly stated in the Charter of Cerrano.

Many members of AdriaPAN were present to the meeting and the occasion has been was useful to present the activities carried out by AdriaPAN in the last three years.

During these days an intensive exchange of information and contacts has been carried on for future planning initiatives anwith MedPAN trought the funds of the Foundation Prince Albert II of Monaco and MAVA Foundation for Nature.

BySEAcle & ChaMon: GONE!

Nell’ambito del coordinamento delle aree protette dell’Adriatico “AdriaPAN” sono stati promossi due progetti da candidare a finanziamento europeo: uno per la promozione e valorizzazione di un turismo sostenibile che si basi sull’uso della bicicletta, denominato “BySEAcle” di quasi tre milioni di Euro, e l’altro per la tutela degli ecosistemi costieri di maggior pregio in Adriatico legati alla presenza del Fratino e della Foca monaca, denominato “ChaMon” e dell’importo di oltre quattro milioni di Euro.
In occasione della pubblicazione del bando della UE sul programma di finanziamento IPA Adriatico, arrivato in scadenza proprio in questi giorni, sono stati presentati entrambi i progetti individuando come capofila, tra le tante aree protette coinvolte, italiane ed estere, il Parco Nazionale del Gargano per il progetto “ChaMon” ed il Parco Naturale di Monte San Bartolo per il progetto “BySEAcle”.

Both the project coordinated within the AdriaPAN has been presented to the second call of the IPA Adriatic Ordinary EU Program.

The Lead Applicant of the two project are the Natural Park of Monte San Bartolo, for "BySEAcle" and the National Park of Gargano for "ChaMon". In the images the partnership.

Life Project Re.S.c.We. go on

Proseguono di buona lena le attività del progetto ReScWe: si sono concluse definitivamente le procedure di selezione per l’assegnazione degli incarichi di progettazione e realizzazione delle opere di ripristino ecologico. Aggiudicatario dell’incarico di progettazione è risultato essere, a marzo 2011, lo Studio associato Silva, società di ingegneria con sede a Bologna, la realizzazione delle opere, aggiudicata a ottobre 2011, spetta invece alla ditta Verdimpianti di Rovigo. Il progetto sarà inoltre presentato nel corso del convegno MedPAN, delle aree marine protette del Mediterraneo che si terrà a Vodice, in Croazia, dal 27 al 29 Novembre.

Re.S.c.We. activities are going on at a good pace: the selection procedures to award the contracts for the execution plans and the construction works for the ecological restoration have been concluded. In March 2011, the contractor for the planning is found to be the Studio Silva, an engineering company based in Bologna, while the execution of works has been awarded, in October 2011, to the company Verdimpianti settled in Rovigo. The project will also be presented during the MedPAN conference of the marine protected areas in the Mediterranean Sea which will be held in Vodice, Croatia, on November 27th to 29th .
